Lyft’s RideShare Services Integrated into RedCap’s Transportation Platform

October 11. 2018 — While Lyft executives continue to predict the end of private ownership, the rideshare company is expanding its business into dealerships. It’s latest foray is with RedCap Technologies, which today announced the launch of a new courtesy shuttle solution leveraging Lyft’s Concierge API platform.

RedCap, which was acquired by Solera Holdings earlier this year, provides white label mobility and logistics solutions to dealerships and OEMs.

The new service, Shuttle OnDemand, provides dealers an alternative to managing their own loaner and shuttle service. Using the Lyft network, dealers can now offer customers service pick up and drop off along with roadside assistance. The solution is integrated with various dealer management systems making it easy for service departments to incorporate it into normal workflow processes.

Lyft, as of this summer, had 300 dealerships using its Concierge services. Several weeks ago, it announced an integration with CDK Global’s Fortellis platform.
