August 13, 2024 – A group of 10 VC firms participated in a $3.7 million seed round in Chaiz, the industry’s first comparison marketplace for extended car warranties.
Auto and tech industry veterans Ryan Hartman, Philippe Koenig, and Reto Bolliger, launched the Austin-based startup which is focused on bringing transparency, choice, and digitization to the extended car warranty market.
It is a $40 billion industry but has often is opaque and playground for shady players harassing consumers with spam robocalls.
With the Chaiz platform, consumers can obtain quotes in minutes without submitting a phone number or email address, creating a transparent, private, and hassle-free experience.
ResilienceVC led the oversubscribed round which included Anker Capital, Automotive Ventures, Everywhere Ventures, FJ Labs, Monte Carlo Capital, Never Lift Ventures, RedBlue Capital, and Springtime Ventures.
Previous investors include Everywhere VC, InsurTech NY, The Calm Fund, and Project One Auto, a nationwide auto dealership.
